How Resona Microphone works
Your physical microphone enters ResonaEQ+, passes through the selected voice-processing chain, and is published through the Resona Microphone Windows endpoint. Applications receive that endpoint like a normal microphone device.
02
Configure the source
- 1Open Routing and select Microphone, System Audio, or Microphone + System.
- 2Choose your physical microphone input.
- 3Set microphone and system send levels conservatively.
- 4Watch the Virtual Mic Out meter and avoid sustained clipping.
- 5Select Resona Microphone explicitly inside Discord, OBS, Zoom, your browser, or the target game.
03
Recommended processing order
- ResonaClear reduces steady room and environmental noise.
- Virtual Mic EQ shapes vocal tone independently from system EQ.
- Noise Gate reduces room sound while you are not speaking.
- Compressor improves consistency between quiet and loud speech.
- Limiter catches final peaks before the signal reaches applications.
04
Test in the destination app
Use the application’s microphone meter or a short local recording. Test quiet speech, normal conversation, loud phrases, word beginnings, plosives, and several seconds of silence.
