What correction does
A headphone correction profile reduces measured tonal deviations for a specific model. It provides a more consistent baseline, but it does not replace personal preference, fit, seal, pad condition, or unit variation.

Select the correct model
- Match the exact headphone model and revision whenever possible.
- Confirm whether the profile assumes stock pads.
- Expect fit and seal to affect bass response.
- Use a moderate listening level while comparing correction on and off.

Recommended workflow

Correction plus personal overlay
Keep correction and personal EQ conceptually separate. Correction provides the technical baseline; the overlay adds your preferred bass, presence, or treble character. This makes presets easier to understand and preserves the original profile.
